Students & Families

Renton School District educators and support staff have put together these grade-level at-home learning resources for students and families to use to continue learning during the school closure. The learning resources support families in keeping children engaged and practicing classroom-based skills in literacy, math, science, and more.

Following a directive from Washington State Governor Jay Inslee, all Renton School District schools are closed beginning Monday, March 16 through Friday, April 24. The Governor’s Office states that a brief closure (two weeks or less) of schools is not enough to affect a change for the infection rate of the virus. Guidance from the Governor’s Office, based on known data and epidemiological modeling, is to close schools for this extended period of time.
